Urfi Javed detained in Dubai: Media reports

Social media sensation Urfi Javed is well aware of the tricks to hog the headlines. While most of the time she trends on different social media platforms for her weird fashion sense, at other times, her outspoken nature also triggers controversies. But, now Urfi is in news following the reports that she has got detained in the UAE.

According to India Today , Uorfi was on a vacation to the UAE and she was shooting a video in a public place with a revealing outfit, which is not permitted in the country. Following this, she was detained and questioned by the authorities.

However, when media personnel tried to reach out to Urfi’s team to enquire more about the matter, they reportedly refrained from commenting.  

Even, E Times quoted a close source saying, “She had shot a video for her Instagram in an outfit made by her, which was revealing as per the people here in Dubai.”

Further, the source added, “The fact that there is no problem with the outfit but where she shot the video was an open area and they don't consider it to be allowed to wear what she wore. She is being questioned by the police. Let's see what happens."

It is pertinent to mention here that, earlier, Urfi herself had revealed that she is restricted from travelling to Dubai. Though not for her revealing outfit and weird fashion sense, Urfi cannot travel to Dubai as she doesn’t have a surname. 

Earlier, Urfi had said, “Actually, the Dubai government said that Indian passports with single names (not having a surname) can’t get Visa. I don’t have a surname actually. I just use 'Javed' just like that. I don’t really have a surname. I never had a surname. I only have Uorfi written on my passport. So, that’s the problem. But, I think now it’s amended,” she added.
