Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi and the production team are under the radar after Jennifer Mistry aka Roshan Bhabhi accused Asit Kumarr, executive producer Jatin Bajaj and Project Head Sohail Ramani of sexual harassment.
Now, Monika Bhadoriya who earlier played the role of Bawari in the serial has also come out in support of Jennifer saying that she too has faced harassment from the makers.
Opening about the same, the actress stated that she is yet to receive Rs 4 to 5 lakhs that the makers owe to her. It has been long overdue since Monika left the show in 2019.
Talking to the media she said that she has fought for her money for more than a year and added that the makers have kept payment of many actors who left the show like Raj Andkat, and Gurucharan Singh on hold.
Bhadoriya said that they have lots of money but they have not paid these actors just to torture them. According to Monika, working on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been hell as she faced very bad treatment from the production house when her mother was hospitalised for cancer treatment.
They would force her to come on the sets even when she needed to be with her mother and would make her wait the entire day without any work.
Similar allegations have been made by Jennifer Mistry who said that she was forced to come on the sets when in times of crisis and made to wait even though there was no work for her.
Monika Bhadoriya became a household name as Bawari from TMKOC and her typical dialogue. “Galati se mistake ho gayi” was hugely popular. The actress was forced to leave the show when she could not bear the harassment any longer.
Reportedly, instead of offering condolences after the death of her mother, Asit called her to report on the set just seven days after her mother's death.
The production house of TMKOC instead told her that she will have to report whenever they demanded since they are paying her. Monika has called their behaviour similar to gundagardi and said that Asit Kumarr Modi considers himself God.
