This really can be a very hot pair and if indeed Karan Johar is planning to bring them together then he needs to do it right. That is how everyone is reacting on social media when the buzz about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor pairing as lead for Karan Johar’s next went viral recently.

Karan Johar announced his next directorial venture on his birthday a couple of days ago. So one definite thing is that a movie is in the pipeline. There are riot of speculations going around that after the huge success of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, Karan is planning to come up with a mature love story since he has been so successful in love and romance Joyner.

Karan has always wanted to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from the start and has offered her roles for many of his projects. But somehow things never materialised. Albeit he did direct her in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which also starred Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead with Shah Rukh Khan doing a cameo. But it was a very small role and fans definitely want Karan to direct a movie that has Ash as the female lead.

So this news if at all true is sure to grab a lot of eyeballs. While Aishwarya and Shahid Kapoor have never worked with each other directly, Sasha was the background dancer when the former Miss World played the lead in Subhash Ghai’s Taal. At that time Shahid Kapoor was struggling to find a foothold in the entertainment industry and worked as a background dancer having trained with the group of famous choreographer Shaimak Davar.
