The Raja Saab nearing completion; Kalki 2898 AD sequel to begin soon without Prabhas!
Telugu Film Industry's Rebel Star Prabhas is currently one of the busiest Indian actors. The Baahubali fame has multiple back-to-back projects in the pipeline. According to the last reports, Prabhas is simultaneously shooting for Maruthi's rom-com horror flick 'The Raja Saab' and Hanu Raghavapudi's period war Fauji. Moreover, he also has Salaar 2, Kalki 2898 AD sequel and Spirit in the pipeline. Recently, reports surfaced that The Raja Saab has skipped the summer release. Well, the latest reports suggest that The Raja Saab is nearing completion and the makers of Kalki 2898 AD are planning to start the sequel without Prabhas.
According to the latest reports, Maruthi's horror-comedy thriller flick The Raja Saab is progressing at a brisk pace and nearing completion. The makers decided to skip the summer release due to the heavy VFX work in the movie and Maruthi wants to execute it flawlessly.
A Telugu portal stated in its report that the team requires another 50 days to complete shooting. While 30 days are required for filming songs, another 10 days are needed for patchwork. Reportedly, an insider revealed that the film's runtime has exceeded 3 hours and it needs to be trimmed as a result many link scenes will be damaged. Thus, a few scenes are required to be reshot to maintain continuity. Altogether, the reshoot requires another 10 days.
According to the report by Cinejosh, Prabhas was reportedly unhappy with a few action sequences for which he asked to reshoot the sequences.
Well, there is no official statement backing the claims. Fans need to wait for an official update from the makers.
While the Baahubali fame is busy with The Raja Saab and Fauji, reports suggest that the makers of Kalki 2898 AD are gearing up to start filming the sequel. According to earlier reports, Nag Ashwin has been working on the sequel and its pre-production work for the past few months. Now, the latest reports suggest that the pre-production work of the sequel has reached its final stages and the team will start regular shooting by mid-June. While Amitabh Bachchan will join the sets of the Kalki sequel in May, the team is acquiring bulk dates of Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone.
As the sequel will focus on Ashwatthama and Bhairava's mission to bring back SUM80 (Sumathi), the schedule requires bulk dates of Prabhas as well. However, Prabhas being busy with The Raja Saab and Fauji, is unable to allot bulk dates for the Kalki sequel.
The latest report suggests that the early production activities for the sequel have already started and the makers are planning to kick-start the shooting and making the required arrangements. The reports suggest that this schedule will primarily be on nonchalant one and it will not feature Prabhas. The makers will shoot the scenes with Amitabh and Kamal in this schedule so that they cover the crucial scenes by the time Prabhas is available.
However, fans are required to wait for an official update from the makers regarding the development.
