Prabhas on 'rivalry' with Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, 'It was always there...'
Box office clash is quite a common thing it can have a significant impact on the success of movies. Stars of the same league might feel insecure about a box office clash. While such 'professional insecurity' is evident in Bollywood, many are under the impression that actors in South Film Industries maintain brotherhood. They don't shy away from extending support and promoting each other. However, Tollywood Rebel Star Prabhas once opened up about 'rivalry' with his peers Allu Arjun and Ram Charan.
Opening about the competition he faces with other leading actors of the regional industry including Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, the Baahubali star shared his insights into the realities of his professional journey.
During an interview with DNA in 2022, Prabhas was asked about the competition in terms of box office numbers between him, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan.
While these three actors are the biggest names in Tollywood and are known for their major contributions to the Indian film industry, Prabhas didn't shy away from acknowledging competition does exist, though understated.
Prabhas explained that competition is an inherent part of any business and the film industry is no exception. He also shared that rivalry has always been present and the level of exposure has significantly increased in recent times.
The Mirchi actor said, "Every business has competition, but another part if you take, as I have said, now you will see a lot of films, it was always there. Now, the exposure is more."
Furthermore, the Rebel Star emphasised that instead of focusing on the competition, he focuses on collaborating within Indian cinema, especially between North and South. He also shared his vision of creating an environment where actors from all regions come together to produce films that represent the collective strength of the country's film industry.
On the work front, Prabhas' last release Kalki 2898 AD was a massive success. Currently, he is one of the busiest actors in the country with multiple projects lined up back-to-back. The Raja Saab, Salaar: Part 2- Shouryanga Parvam, Spirit and Kalki 2898 AD sequel.
