The Kapil Sharma Show fame Sumona Chakravarti will soon tie the knot with one of the A-listed families from Bollywood. The television actress is all set to marry Samrat Mukerji, who is the cousin of Bollywood actress Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and director Ayan Mukerji. Samrat is also an actor who has appeared in Hindi and Bengali movies and television serials.
Sumona and Samrat have been dating for the last few years and have always denied being in a relationship. Previously when Samrat’s name was linked with Sumona , the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain fame actress said that they are just friends. But now it seems finally they have decided to take the next step and make their relationship official.
While Samrat could not enjoy a good run in Bollywood and Bengali film industry, Sumona has become quite popular as Bhuri on The Kapil Sharma Show . She has been part of Kapil’s comedy show right from the start when he first came up with Comedy Nights With Kapil. Prior to that Sumona gained popularity for her role as Natasha Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.
Sumona has hosted the travel show Dubai Diaries and was a part of the Swiss Made Adventures on NDTV Good Times. She revealed her adventurous side as a participant in the Swiss Made Adventures. The chirpy actress has also worked in a few movies including Barfi, Kick, Mann, Akhari Decision, and a few more.
She also hosted the Shonar Bengal show for Epic Television last year. With her marriage to Samrat, Sumona will be a part of the famous Mukherjee-Samarth clan led by famous film producer Shashadhar Mukherjee who was the man behind establishing Filmalaya Studios in Mumbai.
