After popular actress Disha Vakani left the popular comedy serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), another prominent character from the show is all set to call it a quit. Actor Shailesh Lodha, who portrays the character of Taarak, will be quitting the show soon.

As per ETimes, a close source to the show informed that Shailesh is not shooting for TMKOC for a month now. The source was also quoted as saying that the actor is unable to explore other opportunities due to the selectiveness factor.

The source said, "Shailesh has not been shooting for the show for the last one month and has no plans to return to the show. He is not very happy with his contract and he feels that his dates are not properly used in the show."
"One of the other reasons behind taking this decision is with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the talented actor is not able to explore other opportunities due to the exclusivity factor," he added.

As reported by ETimes, Shailesh had turned down several other offers recently but now he doesn't want to waste other opportunities. Though the production house is trying to convince Shailesh, it seem to be a bit difficult as the actor has already made up his mind to leave the show.

Shailesh has been associated with the show in the character of Taarak ever since it kick-started in 2008. In the show, he shares a good friendship with Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) that fills the show with fun and entertainment.
