The current Korean big thing that has made Indian viewers crazy is Netflix’s hit show Squid Game. Released in September this year, this Korean drama has a horrible storyline but it has still emerged as one of the most successful shows in the subcontinent. And one of the reasons for its huge success is its gripping narration, unexpected twists and turns in the plots.

It took the producers almost a decade to make Squid Games, but its popularity has more or less made up for the huge time they invested. The content is quite violent laced with multiple heartbreaking sequences but even then creative Twitter users have found a way to add some laughter to their experience of Squid Games.

The drama has triggered some desi creative memes typically presented in Indian style. Even some popular brands and video games such as Assassin’s Creed have jumped into this meme fest.

For the unversed, Squid Game is a drama series that revolves around a contest involving 456 individuals who hail from different walks of life. They have a goal and that is to win a prize of 45.6 billion South Korean Won (KRW) which approximately comes to Rs 290 crore. All these players have huge debts and desperately want to win the game. That is why they decide to participate in Squid Game which is a famous game played in South Korea.
