The rising cost of production of Bollywood movies has emerged as a major concern for producers. Lately, filmmakers including Farah Khan, Kunak Kohli, Kriti Sanon and certain other producers have expressed their views about the rising problems of extravagant. While several big-budget BTown movies failed to attract footfalls in theatres, producers are failing to make any profits. Recently, a few actors, including Kartik Aaryan, have talked about reducing their fees. Now, actress Sonam Bajwa has expressed her concerns and talked about the responsibilities of actors to not waste producer's resources.

Sonam Bajwa, who has starred in Hindi films like Bala and Street Dancer 3D, weighed in on the ongoing debate on actors and their entourages increasing the cost of film production in Bollywood.

During an interview with HTCity, Sonam revealed she prefers travelling with minimal teams to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Notably, Sonam has featured in Punjabi films like Carry on Jatta, Puaada, Manje Bistre and Kudi Haryane Val Di, and is one of the highest-paid actresses in the regional industry. She was quoted as saying, "I anyway don’t like being crowded by people at all times. I want minimum people to stay around me. So many times it has happened that I have done my own make-up. I am my own stylist at least 99 per cent of the time."

Further, she added that it is important not to be a burden on the producers. She also added that actors need to think from an empathetic point of view.
Sharing her thoughts, Sonam said that she feels as a responsible actor, one can help the producer to reduce the cost of anything.

She said, “I always tell my team, if I become a producer and if there is wastage, I will feel very bad. So all of us have to conduct ourselves thinking the film is ours too. Aisa nahi hona chahiye ki khana waste ho raha hai, ya kuch use nahi ho raha. Nothing should be there for show-off and if there is something I can do, I do that.”
