Shah Rukh Khan's debut flick Deewana's sequel on cards! Know details

Shah Rukh Khan switched from television to films with 1992's Deewana, starring Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti in key roles. Even though he played the second lead in his debut flick, SRK's powerful performance earned him praise and widespread acclaim along with a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Deewana marked the beginning of his illustrious career and gave Bollywood the 'King Khan'; the rest is history. Even after several decades, he continues to rule the hearts of moviegoers. Well, now, the makers are gearing up for a sequel to Deewana.

Deewana 2 Work Has Already Begun!

While speculations have been rife for more than a decade that Deewana sequel is on cards, recently, the producer of the SRK's debut flick confirmed the same and revealed that the work has already begun.

During an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, veteram filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa, the first cousin of veteran actor Dharmendra, revealed that Deewana 2 is definitely happening and the work has already begun. Furthermore, he revealed that the cast for the film is yet to be locked. 

Dhanoa said, "Yes, Deewana 2 is very much happening. We’re currently in the scripting stage. There’s still some time before the film goes on floors as my web series will release before that."

Further, he heaped praises on SRK and said, "His evolution and growth as a star has been incredible. He’s definitely a very good actor but what’s more noteworthy is that he’s a lovely human being. And that, I believe, has helped him climb the ladder of success."

Undeniably, moviegoers can't wait to know if Shah Rukh Khan will also be a part of Deewana 2 or if replaced, who will be the apt replacement.
