Shah Rukh Khan ‘dismayed’ over re-release of DDLJ, bats for Pathaan

Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is riding on the tsunami of Pathaan ’s success. Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, as well as YRF (the production banner), are on cloud nine for the phenomenal success of the action-packed movie under the Spy Universe.

While Pathaan is scripting new records with its gross box office collection globally, the makers decided to re-release SRK’s 1995 all-time blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge . As it seems, YRF decided to re-release the musical romance flick to celebrate the ‘love week’ alongside SRK’s thumping comeback and the exceptional accomplishment of Pathaan.

While movie lovers of romantic genre must be quite excited over the re-release of DDLJ, it seems, SRK is not happy over it.

DDLJ theatrically re-released across the national chain on February 10 (Friday). However, on Saturday, Shah Rukh expressed his dismay over the re-release through his Tweet.

“Arre yaar itni mushkil se action hero bana….and you guys are bringing back Raj…uff!! This competition is killing me!!!! I am going to see #Pathaan …Raj toh ghar ka hai,” SRK tweeted responding to YRF’s Tweet announcing DDLJ’s re-release.

The first directorial of Aditya Chopra, DDLJ, a romantic saga scripted several records. While the songs of the movie still remain top chartbusters, the love saga of Raj and Simran enticed movie lovers for several decades. DDLJ remains one of the longest-running movies in the history of Indian cinema.
