Samantha Ruth Prabhu is not signing regional movies after directors 'spoiled' her!

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently returned to India after a break and reportedly started shooting for her upcoming web series Rakht Brahmand on Wednesday. Recently, reports surfaced that Sam is now eyeing pan-India projects instead of restricting herself to regional films. Well, Sam has finally revealed why she is signing less regional movies. The Oh! Baby actress said that directors have 'spoiled' her.

During a recent interview with News18, Samantha revealed that she is selective about projects and avoids those roles that don't challenge her. She also discussed why she is signing fewer Tamil films.

Why Samantha is signing less Tamil movies?

Sam explained about signing fewer Tamil films. The U-Turn actress said that she now seeks projects with significant impact and finds it difficult to commit unless she completely believes in the movie and its potential. Notably, she was last seen in 2022's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.

Sam emphasised that she is now more mindful of her choices and she aims to ensure she doesn't disappoint herself or others with her decisions.

For Sam, work is rewarding only when it pushes her to give her best in every role.

"If I don’t 100% believe in it, I can’t even get myself to do it. So I am waiting. Trust me. More than anyone else. I am waiting for that wonderful film. And I don’t want to let anyone down or let myself down with my choices," said Sam during the interview.

'Raj and DK have spoiled me...'

Further, she expressed excitement about collaborating with Raj and DK director-duo for Rakht Brahmand. She credited the director-duo for challenging her as an actor with projects including The Family Man: Season 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny.

Sam said, "I think with Family Man, I was able to portray something that I’ve never done before. Again with Citadel Honey Bunny, it was something that I hadn’t done before. And again with Rakht  Brahmand, things are more challenging. Raj and DK have spoiled me for good reason. They are the ones who inspired me to want more and more challenges. When I go to work every day, it is extremely fulfilling as an actor."

Notably, the cast of The Family Man: Season 3 wrapped up the shoot recently. The cast comprising Manoj Bajpayee, Gul Panag, Sharib Hashmi, Vipin Kumar Sharma, Ashlesha Thakur, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and others posed for pictures with the entire crew including Raj and DK. Samantha, who played the role of Raji in The Family Man 2, also joined the wrap-up party and posed with the director-duo. For the unversed, Sam is rumoured to be dating director Raj Nidimoru, one of the director-duo Raj and DK.
