Tollywood actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently celebrating the success of her recently released Citadel: Honey Bunny, with Varun Dhawan. Well, as the wedding day of her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya is inching closer, all eyes are on Sam and her reaction. Amid this, an old interview of the actress has resurfaced when she revealed that her 'plans crumbled' after her divorce from Naga Chaitanya.

After her divorce, Sam was in a conversation with Anupama Chopra when she revealed that she had carefully laid out plans for her life which 'crumbled' after separation.

Sam said, “I mean, man, with everything that has happened in my personal life in 2021, I really have no expectations (from the future). All my carefully laid plans have crumbled, so I have no expectations. I am open to whatever the future has in store for me. I just know that I will give it my very best."

Recently, the 'Oh! Baby'  actress also got candid about the aftermath that a woman has to face after divorce.

"Unfortunately, we live in a society which is so patriarchal in nature, that anytime something goes wrong, a woman gets subjected to… I’m not saying men don’t, men do, but a woman gets subjected to a lot more judgment and a lot more shaming, not just online, even in real life," she said during the interview with
Galatta India.

Further, she added, "Many things were said about me that were absolutely untrue, absolute lies were being spread. And there were many times when I wanted to come out and say, this is not true, let me tell you the truth."

Well, instead of revealing the truth publicly, she shared it with her close ones.

"Can you not live with the fact that your friends and your family know the truth? And it’s okay. If people think that you think all of these things that are not true about you, isn’t it okay? It’s fine," Sam concluded.

Notably, Sam and Chay tied the knot in 2017 and called it a quit after around four years in 2021. Now, Chay is gearing up for his second marriage with Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4. Meanwhile, rumours have been doing rounds that Sam is dating Citadel: Honey Bunny's director Raj of Raj & DK-duo.
