Bollywood Hungama has reported that Big B is planning to step back from Kaun Banega Crorepati for personal reasons after serving as its host for more than two decades now. Amitabh Bachchan and KBC are synonymous with each other and it is a fact that the Indian television audience will take some time to adjust to the fact that someone else is hosting the popular reality show on Sony Television.

Even Shah Rukh Khan was hired for one season of KBC to host the show but failed to garner the same response as Amitabh Bachchan. However, in the case of Salman Khan, things are a bit different. He is one of the very few Bollywood actors who has been immensely popular on the small screen.

While most of the big superstars like Govinda and SRK failed to get a response as hosts on the small screen, Salman Khan became extremely popular as a host and has successfully led two big reality shows Dus Ka Dum and Bigg Boss with his stardom. Salman has been the anchor and the main attraction of these shows which is why he is being considered as the best replacement for Amitabh Bachchan on Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Reports indicate that the negotiations between the makers and the Tiger 3 actor are currently in full swing and are at an advanced stage. Salman Khan will also return as host for the next season of Bigg Boss and is also starting a new movie with Apoorva Lakhia in July.
