Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna's Sikandar leaked online!
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's action-packed thriller Sikandar, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj and Sharman Joshi, finally hit the theatres today. Helmed by South Ace filmmaker AR Murugadoss, the high-octane action movie has opened with mixed reviews. While fans call it a 'perfect entertainer' and 'a story that keeps you hooked', a section of moviegoers have labelled it as one of Salman's 'weakest films' with a dull story. While social media is getting flooded with reviews from moviegoers, what left fans disappointed was Sikandar getting leaked online, just hours before the movie released.
Despite strict anti-piracy measures, reportedly, the full movie was made available in HD quality for download and streaming on infamous sites like Tamilrockers, Movierulz, Filmyzilla, and various Telegram groups.
Reportedly, camcorder recordings from theatres were quickly enhanced to HD quality, and the full movie was uploaded to illegal sites, despite strict anti-piracy measures and ongoing crackdowns. The camcorder recordings were uploaded on the piracy sites within hours.
While piracy remains a major concern for the Indian Film Industry, many expressed their disappointment after the full movie in HD quality was available for download and streaming on piracy sites.
Meanwhile, fans are celebrating Salman Khan's release on Eid. While fans were seen lining up in large numbers outside the theatres to witness the superstar in action, videos and pictures of fans cutting cakes, dancing in theatres, and cheering for 'Bhaijaan' Salman Khan are doing rounds on social media.
Interestingly, a devoted fan of Salman Khan was spotted distributing free tickets of Sikandar to several other fans of the superstar. Reportedly, the staunch fan identified as Kuldeep from Rajasthan spent Rs 1.72 lakhs to purchase 817 tickets for Sikandar and distributed those to random people free of cost.
