Salman Khan as a Superhero! Sikandar actor reveals 'heart-touching' reason why he doesn't need a cape
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, throughout his illustrious career spanning over 35 years, has proven his versatility. He has proven his range by taking up different roles in various genres including romantic, comedy, action and dramatic. However, he has not yet taken up any superhero flick. Well, recently, Salman Khan revealed a heart-touching reason why he doesn't need to don a superhero cape.
During a recent interview with India Today, Salman Khan opened up about not doing a superhero film in his career.
"The kind of films that we do and the roles that we do, we don’t have to wear a cape. We are superheroes. All our Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bengali – every film industry, the hero is a superhero without wearing a cape," said Salman.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who accompanied her Sikandar co-star, agreed with Salman. She said that this is what makes Indian movies different from the rest of the world. Rashoo shared that in Indian movies, a father, brother or sister could be a superhero.
Well, Salman concluded by saying that every protector is a superhero.
The countdown has begun for Sikandar's theatrical release and excitement among fans has reached the zenith. Notably, AR Murugadoss' action drama Sikandar will premiere across 16,787 screens nationwide. Reportedly, Sikandar has earned an estimated Rs 5.66 crore gross from its 2D shows and an additional Rs 48.9 lakh from IMAX 2D shows.
The total collection of Sikandar, also starring Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj and Sharman Joshi, stands at around Rs 5.71 crore. However, the all-time box office numbers are estimated to be around Rs 12.53 crore while taking blocked seats into account, states a report by Sacnilk.
