Both the singers recreated the mood of the romantic track with perfection. While the male singer seems to be visually impaired, the female singer is Wanna annisyah purba.

Real Story Behind 'Chand Chhupa Badal Mein'

Originally, the track featured Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Legendary singers Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik lent their magical voices to this romantic track. While Mehboob Kotwal penned the lyrics, all Ismail Darbar composed the soundtrack.

Chand Chhupa Badal Mein was originally not written for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Earlier, during a conversation with, notable lyricist Mehboob revealed that he had written the song for Ram Gopal Varma's film.

Mehboob was quoted as saying, "Initially, Ramuji really liked the lyrics. But one day he said, 'Mehboob, the lyrics that you have written are really beautiful, but the hero of my film is a goon. He cannot sing such beautiful lyrics.' So I used those lyrics in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam."
