The monstrous success of ace director Prashanth Neel's KGF Chapter 2 has grabbed the eyeballs of movie lovers globally. While KGF2 went on to set several new benchmarks in the Indian cine industry, all eyes are now set on Neel's upcoming movie Salaar starring Prabhas and Shruti Hasaan in the lead roles.
Though recently Neel announced about his another project with Jr NTR , tentatively titled- 'NTR 31', fans are highly anticipating Salaar updates.
The anticipation for Salaar, produced under Homable Films banner, is quite obvious as Neel has teamed up with Prabhas for the first time. After the mammoth success of Baahubali franchise, Darling Prabhas has failed to entice the audience. Action movie lovers have pinned high hopes on Neel after the success of KGF 2.
However, in a disappointment for Prabhas fans and action movie lovers, the first official teaser of Salaar, which was scheduled to release this month, won't be dropped by the makers. The makers have postponed the teaser release date indefinitely.
“The teaser won’t be released this month. We will time the teaser release to a special date, but we are yet to figure out the same,” said Vijay Kiragandur, founder of Hombale Films.
Digging more to collect relevant updates about the movie, it has been found that only 30% of Salaar has been shot. The entire team has eyed to complete the shooting by the end of 2022, so that the makers will be ready to hit the theatres by 2023 summer with the final project.
This probably could be one of the possible reasons behind the postponement of the first teaser.
The stakes are certainly high and the makers have set high bars for the Prabhas starrer as Salaar brings several biggies together to one platform.
Pink Villa quoted Kiragandur as saying, "We have set the bar very high for Salaar. On one hand, we have Prabhas, who is the hero of India’s number one movie (Baahubali: The Conclusion) and on the other hand, we have Prashanth Neel and Hombale, who made the second-biggest Indian film (KGF Chapter 2)."
Further, the founder of Hombale Films said, "This is a deadly combination and it’s going to be a big challenge. The combination has created the buzz and now, since we have set the bar so high, we will try our best to reach the target. We will achieve something big with Salaar."
So, fans need to wait for some more days until the makers make an official announcement regarding Salaar updates and its first teaser release apart from KGF 3 updates.
