Director Prashanth Neel rose to fame and got enlisted among the A-listed directors with KGF series starring Rocking Star Yash in the lead. Amid the hype of KGF Chapter 1 and upcoming KGF Chapter 2, Prashanth once again hit the headlines with the announcement of Salaar starring Baahubali Prabhas in the lead.
Darling Prabhas already has made it large with the magnum opuses Baahubali franchise helmed by ace director of south film industry SS Rajamouli. Fans pan-India had huge expectations from Saaho but the movie couldn’t meet their expectations. However, all are expecting something big from the pair of Prashanth Neel and Prabhas.
Movie lovers are keeping vigil eyes on Salaar updates which is set to release theatrically on April 14, 2022. Shruti Haasan will also be seen in the upcoming underworld action thriller as the love interest of Prabhas. The Rebel star will be seen playing a violent character in the film.
On Sunday, Prashanth ignited anticipation among fans with his social media post.
“Revealing 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐚𝐫 from #Salaar tomorrow at 10:30 AM,” he captioned his post which contained a picture reading “Homable Films Introducing Rajajmannar in Salaar at 10: 30 AM.”
Billed as a "pan-India" project, Salaar is produced under the banner of Hombale Films.
Back in December last year during the announcement of the high-octane action thriller, Prabhas had called Salaar a territory unexplored. "This is a very exciting film and my character is extremely violent, so this is something I haven't really done before. It's a pan-Indian film and I can't wait to be on the sets already," the Mirchi actor said.

Baahubali Prabhas' Upcoming Flicks
Apart from Salaar, Prabhas will also be seen in filmmaker Nag Ashwin's multilingual sci-fi film co-starring Deepika Padukone tentatively titled as “K”. Apart from Prabhas and Deepika, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in “K” in a prominent character.
Earlier on July 24, the team kick-started the film with a 'muhurat' pooja and clap at Ramoji Film City. On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. Prabhas sounded the clapboard for the muhurat shot on Amitabh Bachchan.
Moreover, Prabhas will also be seen in Om Raut's screen adaptation of the epic Ramayana, ‘Adipurush’ and romantic-drama ‘Radhe Shyam’, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
In Adipurush, Prabhas will be portraying the character of Lord Ram while Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita. Bollywood Nawab Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Demon King Ravan in the epic drama.
Meanwhile, ‘Radhe Shyam', which was supposed to release this year, has been rescheduled for January 14, 2022. Pooja Hegde will seen as the love interest of Prabhas in the movie. Anticpation among fans for ‘Radhe Shyam’ has reached zenith as the movie also marks Prabhas' return to the romantic genre after a gap of almost a decade.
