Remember actress Sandali Sinha from ‘Tum Bin’? Here’s what she is doing now

Who can ever forget director Anubhav Sinha’s blockbuster movie ‘Tum Bin’, starring an ensemble cast of Priyanshu Chhatterjee, Himanshu Malik, Raqesh Bapat and actress Sandali Sinha. The 2000 musical blockbuster is still itched in the hearts and minds of movie lovers.

Everything was just so perfect, the songs, the story, the performance by the actors, and direction of the movie. The movie launched the career of all the actors, especially of actress Sandali Sinha. Hailing from Bihar, Sandali was born to an Air Force family and later relocated to Delhi following her father’s demise.

She was keen on becoming a doctor, but a brief experience on an amateur fashion show made her shift to the world of modeling. She later shifted to Mumbai for better prospects and established herself as a well known model in a short span of time.

She received immense fame after she appeared in Sonu Nigam’s music video ‘Deewana’. The music video gave launched her career in movies and she got her first movie ‘Tum Bin’. Paired opposite three actors, Sandali played the character of Pia, an innocent woman who becomes a victim of circumstances.

She became an overnight sensation after the stupendous success of the movie. The romantic drama was a huge hit at the box office. Unfortunately, Sandali could not get good movies after Tum Bin and went on to play smaller parts in films like Pinjar and Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon.

She later married businessman Kiran Salaskar in November 2005 with whom she has two children. After the birth of her children, Sandali slowly drifted away from movies and currently helps her husband in managing their business.
