Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is known for his energetic performances in Bollywood films. He has earned a loyal fandom for his charisma, dedication, and unique fashion sense both on and off-screen. Ranveer made his debut in 2010 with YRF's 'Band Baaja Baaraat' alongside Anushka Sharma. In his career spanning over a decade, he has worked in over 23 movies and is a recipient of several awards. Now, he has cemented his place in the industry and counted among the highest-paid actors. But, did you know, in his initial days, Ranveer faced Casting Couch? Moreover, he was also thrown out of a movie set?

Ranveer Faced Casting Couch?

Ranveer, last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, also went through the dark side of the industry like many other actors.

Reportedly, the Bajirao Mastani actor during an interview recalled the 'dark incident' and said that before making it big in the industry, he struggled for around three years. Further, the Simmba actor said that during his struggling days, he was invited by a casting director to his residence in Andheri. Ranveer described the man as 'a highly sleazy gentleman,' who didn't even look at his portfolio.

According to a report in DNA India, Ranveer was quoted as saying, "I had worked as an assistant director and I knew that there are no takers for a 500-page portfolio. Mine was very impressive and people were intrigued enough to at least take a look at it."

As per Ranveer, the casting director said that he needs to be 'smart and sexy' to move forward in the showbiz. The man further advised Ranveer to be open to 'take and touch.' However, Ranveer said no to his demands. But, the casting director started to negotiate with him asking if at least he could see.

Ranveer said, "Later I got to know what he was interested in. When I said ‘no’, he was heartbroken like a jilted lover.”

Well, recently, Murder 2 actor Prashant Narayanan said that Ranveer Singh is a liar and that he lied about getting into this dark phase during the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, in which Ranveer essayed the role of Allaudin Khilji.

Ranveer said, “I took 21 days and locked myself up in my Goregaon house. I was completely isolated. I kind of isolated myself, marinated into the character because I can’t relate to Alaudin Khilji, I can’t relate to that level of manipulativeness, greed, and ambition. I had to tap into dark experiences but his worldview is not something I can relate to also.”

Lashing out at Ranveer, Prashant added, "Yeh dark spaces mein jana, yeh saab karna yeh bakwas ki baatein hai."

Ranveer Thrown Out of Movie Set!

In another interview, Ranveer revealed that he was thrown out of a movie set for ogling at Raveena Tandon during the shooting of Tip Tip Barsa Pani.

Ranveer said, "I was a boy, and I was ogling at Raveena ji. I was watching her with my eyes wide open, so she was getting a little uncomfortable. She asked one of the security guys to escort me away. For me, that was shattering. I was heartbroken that I was told to leave the set."

Earlier, even when Raveena Tandon was asked about the incident on The Kapil Sharma Show, she explained that she did so because of a kind of discomfort she felt at that time.

Raveena instructed Kapil Sharma to make the kind of face Ranveer was doing at that time. She narrated, "Ek min, apka ek bar close up lijiye, main jo jo bolu vaise aap kijiye. Aap zara camera mein aese bathiye, thore zubaan nikaliye bahar, aankhe phariye, zubaan aur bahar aani chahiye, Ranveer ka yehh expression tha."
