Shaktimaan: Mukesh Khanna breaks silence on 'Ranveer Singh as superhero,' says, 'aisi image wala vyakti nahin ban sakta'

The reports of Ranveer Singh playing the titular role in the Shaktimaan trilogy have received mixed views from the fans, who enjoyed the first-Indian superhero in the 90s on television.

After the reports, many suggested replacing Ranveer Singh with another actor in the Indian superhero movie.

Recently, Mukesh Khanna, who essayed the role of Shaktimaan and was the maker of the series, broke his silence on Ranveer Singh portraying the role of the superhero.

Sharing a video on his official YouTube Channel called Bheeshm International, he dismissed the reports of Ranveer Singh portraying Shaktimaan and how his image is not fit for Shaktimaan’s character.

Khanna without taking Ranveer's name took a dig at him for his nude photo shoot. And said even if it is his personal choice, there is a dignity and limitation which one should not cross.

He also confirmed that no one has been confirmed for the Shaktimaan’s role yet. If he had someone in his mind he would have started the movie already.

Sharing a screenshot of the video, Khanna on his Instagram handle wrote, “Pura social media mahinon se is rumour se bhara pada tha ki Ranveer karega Shaktimaan. Aur har koi naaraz tha ise lekar."

Further, his post read, "Main chup raha. Lekin jub channels ne bhi elaan karna shuru kar diya ki Ranveer sign ho gaya hai.
To mujhe muhn kholna pada. Aur maine bol diya ki aisi image wala vyakti kitna bhi bada star kyon na ho Shaktimaan nahin ban sakta.."

He also wrote, "I have put my foot down. Ab Aaga aage dekhiye hota hai kya ??”

In the video, he also shared messages from fans in which they had requested him to replace Ranveer from the movie.

He also shared that for playing Shaktimaan one has to have some authority, he has to have power and acting skill.
