Ranveer Singh comes onboard for Shaktimaan as...?

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was keen on playing India's favourite superhero Shaktimaan. However, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, who originally played the superhero in the TV series, deemed him unfit to portray the superhero's role. Even though Khanna called Singh a 'terrific actor' and praised his energy, he cleared the air that he hasn't approved him for the superhero role. While fans have been waiting for official updates on the trilogy, according to the latest report, Ranveer Singh has finally come onboard for the Shaktimaan saga.

Ranveer Comes Onboard For Shaktimaan?

According to an exclusive report by Filmfare, Ranveer Singh has come onboard for Shaktimaan. But wait! Singh has come onboard not as an actor but as a producer. Moreover, it is not for Shaktimaan movie. Reportedly, Singh may produce an OTT series on the Shaktimaan saga.

The Filmfare report quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Ranveer has taken the rights of developing Shaktimaan. He’s on board as a partner and mostly, the makers are aiming at creating a series."

Will Ranveer Singh Step Into The Shoes Of Superhero?

Further, the source also revealed that it is unclear if Singh will step into the shoes of Shaktimaan or not. 

Well, only time will tell if Ranveer will play the title character.

On the other hand, Mukesh Khanna's involvement in the OTT series on Shaktimaan couldn't be obtained.

Ranveer Singh Busy With Prior Commitments!

However, according to a report by IndiaToday.in, a source close to the actor revealed that the news about Ranveer Singh acquiring the rights to develop a new superhero (Shaktimaan) project as the producer holds no truth. As the source revealed, Singh is busy with his upcoming espionage thriller Dhurandar and he also has Don 3 in the pipeline.

Mukesh Khanna's Suggestion On Allu Arjun as Shaktimaan

It is pertinent to mention here that Mukesh Khanna had earlier showered praise on Tollywood Icon Star Allu Arjun and said that 'he can be thought about for playing Shaktimaan'. He added that Shaktimaan can be brought within him (Allu Arjun), and he can perform. However, the decision remains with Sony Pictures.
