  • Ranbir Kapoor's first look from Animal was unveiled recently.
  • South fans have slammed it for copying the look from Yash's KGF.

Rashmika Mandanna shared the first look of Ranbir Kapoor from the movie Animal at the start of the year. The Bollywood star can be seen in a rowdy avatar with long hair and a beard. Although the picture only shows the side pose of the actor, it is enough to give a full idea about the look of Ranbir in Animal.

While his Bollywood fans have loved this new look of the Shamshera actor, the South Indian movie buffs have compared it with the styling of Yash in KGF. The Southern movie fans have slammed Ranbir and the team of Animal for copying the look of Rocky bhai while calling it crap.

However, Bollywood fans of Ranbir have said that having a beard and cig does not mean that the look has been copied. Nonetheless, the picture has once again triggered the debate between Bollywood and the Southern film industry which has been a hot topic of discussion last year and the year before.

The last couple of years has been very good for the Southern film industry with its big films like RRR, KGF 2, Ponniyin Selvan 1, Pushpa 1, and Vikram doing big pan India business.

Contrarily, the last year was awful for Bollywood business-wise as its big-budget movies led by superstars failed to perform up to expectations. For Ranbir Kapoor, the year was quite mixed with Shamshera from YRF flopping badly whereas Brahmastra doing a roaring business.

Even then, the response to Animal will be pretty crucial for him as Ranbir has not been able to deliver back-to-back big blockbusters like the top A-listed actors.

On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna is enjoying a good stint in both the Southern and Hindi film worlds. Her first official Hindi release was Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan on OTT.

The national crush has already wrapped shooting for Mission Majnu with Sidharth Malhotra a year ago which will also be released on the digital platform. So, Animal will be her first official theatrical Bollywood release.
