Pushpa: The Rule script rewritten post KGF Chapter 2's success, likely to clash with Salaar!

KGF Chapter 2, Yash and Prashanth Neel are the 'talk of the town' post the mammoth success of their flick. KGF 2 is continuing its phenomenal journey even after 45 days of its release. Meanwhile, movie lovers are eyeing the updates of upcoming big-budget movies in the pipeline including Pushpa: The Rule, Salaar, Adipurush, etc. 

Tollywood's Icon star Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa: The Rise' went on to become a super hit flick grossing Rs 365 crore at the box office. The movie marked the Stylish Star's entry into north India. While the movie received huge appreciation, some of the dialogues, dance steps and songs still are driving movie lovers crazy.

Now, all eyes are on its sequel 'Pushpa: The Rule'. However, fans are quite disheartened as they are yet to get an official update from the makers. The unexpected delay in announcing the updates has also raised concerns among many.  

However, as per the latest updates, the makers are rewriting the script for the sequel. 

As per industry sources, the team believes that the script requires multiple changes post the huge success of 'Pushpa: The Rise' across India. Thus, director Sukumar has been busy rewriting the story for 'Pushpa: The Rule'.

Moreover, the colossal success of SS Rajamouli's RRR and Neel's KGF 2 has created pressure on the director. While RRR and KGF 2 influenced a vast audience and turned cash-churner for the makers, Sukumar has opted for adding more mass elements that will appeal to both South and North audiences in a big way.

On the other hand, certain social media posts claimed that Srikanth Vissa, the dialogue writer of Pushpa hinted at bigger plans by the makers for the sequel. 

"We all are up for Pushpa: The Rule now, which will be bigger and better than the first part," Vissa was quoted as saying.

However, there is no official update regarding the shooting schedules and other pre-production works. 

Meanwhile, rumours are abuzz that the makers are getting mind-blowing offers for the sequel's overseas rights which is almost close to Rajamouli's pre-business deals.

Pushpa: The Rule was earlier scheduled to release in December this year, however, if sources are to be believed, the makers might postpone the release date to 2023 summer owing to the rewriting of the script. On the other hand, rumours are strong that Neel and Hombale Films might lock the release date for Salaar during the 2023 summer. So, considering the circumstance, it can be said that Pushpa: The Rule might clash with Prabhas' Salaar.

However, fans need to wait for an official announcement from the makers with patience about the same.
