Pushpa 2: Triptii Dimri rejected after audition for special item song!

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming flick 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is one of the highly-anticipated movies that moviegoers are eagerly waiting for. Recently, the makers dropped a poster of Pushpa that filled excitement among all. Notably, for a couple of months, the discussions around replacing Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the sequel for a special number have remained quite high. While names of several actresses have popped up frequently, National Crush Triptii Dimri is the newest addition to the list. A recent report claims that the 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' actress was rejected by the makers after she auditioned for the item song.

Industry sources exclusively revealed to Zoom that Triptii was keen on being a part of Pushpa 2: The Rule through the item number. She even auditioned for the same. However, the makers rejected her.

Well, the reason for rejection was not disclosed by the source.

Earlier reports claimed that Janhvi Kapoor is the top choice of the makers for the item song. However, Janhvi's contract clause for Jr NTR-starrer Devara prohibited her from appearing in any other Telugu movie. After Pushpa 2's release postponement, reports were abuzz that makers reconsidered to rope in Janhvi. Well, the makers are yet to make any official revelations regarding the matter.

On the other hand, after making it big with Animal, Triptii has been the talk of the town. After the success of her recent release Bad Newz, she is currently bracing up for 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' with Rajkummar Rao. The movie is scheduled for release on 11 October 2024.
