Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and there is no doubt about it. While fans are eagerly waiting for the Sukumar directorial, it has now been revealed that the film has sold its digital rights for around Rs 275 crore.

According to a PinkVilla report, the digital rights of Pushpa 2: The Rule have been sold to Netflix at the base price of Rs 250 crore and Rs 300 crore (extended).
 
“It’s a record deal for all languages, surpassing the previous best by a margin of approx. Rs 100 crore. Pushpa 2 is among the genuinely awaited Pan India films after Bahubali 2 and KGF 2, and all the stakeholders are confident to spike excitement on their respective platforms for the content,” as per a source cited by the entertainment portal.

The source further added that the contract is variable based on box office performance. 
“The newer ways of dealing is to set a base price and then hike it linked to box office returns. The base price for the Allu Arjun film is Rs 250 crore, with kickers extending up to Rs 300 crore,” the source added. 

Notably, SS Rajamouli’s RRR was the previous record holder for the sale of digital rights at Rs 170 crore.

Meanwhile, as per reports, the theatrical rights for Pushpa 2 have been acquired by Anil Thadani on an advance basis for Rs 200 crore. 

“Pushpa 2 is the most awaited Indian Film of the year and the records have come down crashing left – right – center as far as the pre-release business is concerned. Anil Thadani has paid Rs 200 crore (on an advance basis) to acquire the theatrical rights of this action-packed entertainer directed by Sukumar,” a Pinkvilla report claimed.

Apart from Allu Arjun, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Fasil in the lead roles. The music of the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
