Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar was laid to rest after the final rites were conducted at Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru on Sunday. The final rites of Appu were conducted as per the traditions of the Ediga community of the Hindu religion in the presence of his family members, friends and ruling and opposition leaders of the political spectrum.
The untimely demise of Appu caused a huge loss to the Kannada Film Industry (KFI), fans and family members. Fans are still mourning the irreparable loss. As per reports, about 10 lakh people visited and paid their last respect from Friday noon till the early hours of Sunday. Soon after the actor's mortal remains were shifted to Kanteerava Stadium, fans made a beeline to get the last glimpse of the superstar and the queue was never-ending.

The sudden passing away of the Power Star of Sandalwood left everyone in grief and fans are yet to get over the tragedy. As reported, one person has committed suicide and two died of heart attack following the untimely death of their matinee idol.

Youth icon Puneeth won everyone's heart with his simplicity and philanthropic activities apart from driving everyone thrilled with his acting, dance and presentation skills.
As reported earlier, fans were engaged in a banter on social media by trolling other actors of KFI. The banter involved KGF's Yash, Kiccha Sudeep, Darshan and others as well. Fans of each of the actors attacked others, slamming them by sharing different memes.
Though the actors had no differences between them and shared a good bond, fans took the level of 'hatred' to different heights.
However, all were left shattered after the demise of Puneeth. Moreover, after Yash and Kiccha Sudeep visited the residence of Puneeth, the minds and hearts of such fans, who trolled them, changed.
Yash, Sudeep, and Jr NTR were among others who were devastated by the untimely demise of Puneeth and were inconsolable while they were present at the Kanteerava Studio to attend the funeral. They were captured by the media with teary eyes which melted the hearts of fans who were engaged in the banter.
