Prithviraj Sukumaran recently shared a new photo featuring his clean-shaven look. The Salaar actor’s post quickly went viral, but soon something strange happened and fans started speculating his possible collaboration with ‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli. Surprisingly, Prithviraj’s mother and veteran actress Mallika Sukumaran's has confirmed the speculations.

Responding to a comment on the post of Prithviraj Sukumaran that read, "This is all AI... No one should believe it!", Mallika Sukumaran clarified that the photo was not AI-generated; rather, Prithviraj was heading for a movie with SS Rajamouli.

Mallika Sukumaran’s comment read, “അടുത്ത സിനിമ രാജമൗലി ഫിലിം, ഇന്ന് രാത്രി പുറപ്പെടും. സിന്സിയും തുടങ്ങിയോ കാര്യങ്ങള് അന്വേഷിക്കാതെയുള്ള തര്ക്കം. എന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചുകൂടെ,” (“The next movie is a Rajamouli project. He is leaving tonight. Cincy, have you also started arguments without verifying things? You could have asked me!”)

Upcoming Movies of Prithviraj Sukumaran

L2: Empuraan

Serving as a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster "Lucifer," "L2: Empuraan" is an action crime thriller directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film features Mohanlal reprising his role, with Prithviraj portraying Zayed Masood. The narrative is set to explore events both preceding and following those in "Lucifer," offering deeper insights into the storyline. Filming commenced on October 5, 2023, in Faridabad, with subsequent schedules in locations such as the UK, USA, Mexico, and Russia. The movie is slated for a 2024 release. 

Vilayath Buddha

Directed by Jayan Nambiar, "Vilayath Buddha" is a Malayalam drama where Prithviraj plays Double Mohanan. The plot centers on two men contesting ownership of a sandalwood tree, leading to intense confrontations. The film is anticipated to release in 2024. 

Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam

Following the success of "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire," the sequel, directed by Prashanth Neel, continues the high-octane action narrative. Prithviraj joins Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, and others in this installment. Approximately 40% of the sequel was filmed alongside the first part, with production set to resume in March 2024. The film is expected to hit theaters in late 2025. 

Karachi 81

"Karachi 81," directed by K.S. Bava, is an action thriller featuring Prithviraj alongside Tovino Thomas, Soubin Shahir, and Joju George. The story revolves around India's elite insurgency commando operations. The film is currently in pre-production, with a release date to be announced. 

Thalaivar 171

In "Thalaivar 171," Prithviraj collaborates with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and superstar Rajinikanth. The ensemble cast includes Ranveer Singh, Trisha Krishnan, and others. Produced by Sun Pictures, this action film is in pre-production, with the release date yet to be confirmed. 

Tyson

Directed by Prithviraj himself and penned by Murali Gopy, "Tyson" is a social thriller focusing on a boxer's struggles with societal issues. The project is in pre-production, with further details awaited. 

Metre Gauge 1904

"Metre Gauge 1904," directed by Pradeep M. Nair, is currently in development. Specific plot details and release dates are yet to be announced. 

Louis Araman

In "Louis Araman," directed by Jexson Antony and Rejis Antony, Prithviraj takes on a pivotal role. The film is in pre-production, with more information to be revealed in due course. 

Dayra

Prithviraj is set to team up with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Meghna Gulzar's "Dayra." He will portray a police officer in this film, which is based on a true and disturbing incident. The shooting is expected to commence soon, with the release date to be announced.
