Prabhas and Shruti Haasan’s Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire will be released as scheduled on December 22. Helmed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel, the movie’s trailer will drop on the web on December 1, and from then on the team is expected to kick off its promotions aggressively.

Fans have been pretty upset with the Salaar team for not releasing a teaser or update of this high-action movie. Ardent Prabhas fans even slammed the makers for being sluggish in the promotion of Salaar. Additionally, in the last couple of weeks, strong rumours about Salaar being postponed have been circulating on the internet.

And it has been triggered by the fact that Dunki led by Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Rajkumar Hirani is also releasing on the same date. Currently, SRK is enjoying a majestic run at the box office as his last two movies Pathaan and Jawan have been humongous hits. Secondly, Rajkumar Hirani’s movies have been big hits and trendsetters.

So undoubtedly, expectations from Dunki are very high and it is surely going to get a massive opening. The first drop of Dunki also has received an overwhelming response. So currently things are in favour of Dunki. That is why a few netizens speculated that both Prabhas and Prashanth Neel might avoid a clash with Dunki and are planning to postpone Salaar's release.

On the other hand, Prabhas is currently facing a lull in his career but hopefully with a remarkable director like Prashanth Neel as the captain of the ship, Salaar could well be the movie to break that failure streak for him.

Rumours are also adrift that Gadar 2 fame Simrat Kaur has been roped in by Hombale Films to perform a special item number in the movie. The song is expected to be shot in the upcoming days in a 4-day long schedule.

It would be exciting to watch who wins at the box office when Dunki and Salaar come into the theaters.
