Prabhas' Adipurush disappoints fans: Will it be hat-trick of flops for Baahubali?

The first teaser of Prabhas’ Adipurush is out and has failed to meet the fans' expectations. Rather, it has disappointed even the most die-hard Prabhas fans who have been expecting a big hit from the Tollywood superstar since Baahubali made him a pan India icon.

However, the actor has not been able to deliver even a single hit post the mega-epic series. Both his earlier pan India releases-Sahoo and Radhe Shyam failed to attract the audience.

The Adipurush teaser was released in a grand way yesterday in Ayodhya as the story is based on the epic Ramayana which mythologically is the birthplace of Lord Rama. And fans were eagerly waiting for the same, shipping the announcement and creating interest for their favourite superstar.

However, the teaser has now triggered comparisons with SS Rajamouli and Ram Charan instead of getting any appreciation.

Many users have said that the teaser of Adipurush is an insult to Ramayana and that the VFX has made it more into a cartoon picture rather than a great movie based on the life of the mythological god Lord Rama. The presentation of Saif Ali Khan as Ravana and how his 10 heads emerge has become a laughing stock as the VFX here looks like it is from kids' cartoon serial.

Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan with a beard looks almost similar to how he looked in Om Raut’s earlier movie Tanhaji in which the Nawab played the character of Udyabhan Rathod. Incidentally, the way SS Rajamouli presented his two lead characters Ram Charan and Junior NTR in RRR, it made such a significant impact on the minds of the audience raising the bar. And, it is going to be difficult for Prabhas and the team to reach that level with Adipurush, at least if the standard of the recently released teaser is to go by.

So, will Prabhas make a hat-trick of flops with Adipurush? Unfortunately, if Om Raut does not take the current social media comments seriously, and make changes in the VFX and presentation, the movie is sure to become a big flop.
