‘Passionate like fire'-Sobhita Dhulipala's throwback intro for Miss India Earth resurfaces Watch

Sobhita Dhulipala was recently in the news for her portrayal of Sita in Dev Patel’s Monkey Man which premiered in Hollywood. The actress who has worked in Mani Ratnam’s PS1 and PSII and is rumoured to be dating Southern star Naga Chaitanya represented India at the international beauty pageant Miss Earth. The actress won the Miss India Earth title in 2013 and made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with Raman Raghav 2.0 helmed by Anurag Kashyap.

She became a well-known face after featuring in the Made in Heaven drama series on Amazon Prime Video. Now a video clip of Sobhita Dhulipala from her preparation days of Miss India has resurfaced on the web. In this clip, the actress can be seen describing herself as a part of the introduction session that every beauty queen has to do.

Sobhita can be heard saying, “Hello, Namaskaram! I hail from the beautiful city of Vishakhapatnam. I believe that I represent the spirit of the phoenix. I am warm like the earth, I am free flowing like the air, I am deep like the waters and passionate like fire. So I am a little bit of everything I guess. The Miss India crown in one word to me means hope. Hope that if you follow your dreams, believe in yourself, and put in your efforts, nothing is impossible.”

And true to her words, Sobhita Dhulipala is slowly making her mark in the film industry. Despite having no background and godfather, she has grabbed some good projects and hopefully will be a renowned actress in the years to come. She was excited to be a part of Monkey Man and become a part of the vision of someone like Dev Patel.
