Paresh Rawal officially exits Hera Pheri 3, returns signing amount: Report

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal's official confirmation about exiting the much-awaited comic caper Hera Pheri 3 has left many disheartened. Despite that, fans were still hopeful of Babu Bhaiya's return to the third instalment. But, it seems, Paresh Rawal won't reprise his iconic role of Babu Bhaiya in the franchise.

Paresh Rawal Returns Signing Amount?

According to an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakh with 15 per cent interest.

A source close to the development informed the portal that Paresh Rawal returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakh to Akshay Kumar's production house, 'Cape of Good Films', with 15 per cent interest p.a. Reportedly, the veteran actor also returned a little more money for stepping away from the series.

According to the source, Paresh Rawal's total remuneration was locked at Rs 15 crore, and he was paid Rs 11 lakh as a signing amount as per the term sheet. The actor would have received the balance amount (Rs 14.89 crore) only after one month of Hera Pheri 3's release.

However, the Welcome Back actor had reservations about this clause. As the shooting of Hera Pheri 3's principal shoot was to commence sometime next year, the movie was unlikely to be released before late 2026 or in 2027. Given that, the Sanju actor had to wait for nearly two years to get the rest of his remuneration.

Here's What Paresh Rawal Said Earlier

It is pertinent to mention here that after reports of his exit from Hera Pheri 3 surfaced due to creative differences with the director, Paresh Rawal clarified that his decision to step away from the movie wasn't due to creative differences with the filmmaker. Later, while speaking to the media, the Sanju actor said he was not in the right frame to do Hera Pheri 3. Further, he said that his decision to opt out of the movie was because he didn't feel like being a part of it. The Ready actor also clarified that 'no amount of money compares to the love and respect of the audience'.

Despite that, Paresh Rawal had left the future undecided. Well, if the latest report is anything to go by, the veteran actor seems to have closed the doors of returning to the franchise.
