Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming Ramayana is the most highly-anticipated movie that fans eagerly await. The ensemble cast has fuelled the excitement among all. While Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are locked to essay the role of Lord Ram and Devi Sita, respectively, Sunny Deol and Yash will be seen as Lord Hanuman and Demon King Ravana. 

Meanwhile, reports were abuzz that Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as Vibhishan, Lara Dutta will play Queen Kaikeyi's role and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Surpanakha.

However, it seems, things didn't fall into place as per plans and the makers have decided to replace Vijay Sethupathi with another actor. As per an exclusive report by ETimes, Harman Baweja will play the role of Ravana's younger brother.

Notably, Harman Baweja has made a comeback with Hansal Mehta's 'Scoop'. 

If the recent reports are anything to go by, it would be exciting to see Hatman transforming into Vibhishan, the sibling of Lankesh Ravana, Kumbhkaran, and Surpanakha.

Cinematic breakdown of the Ramayana trilogy

As per the last reports, the team of Ramayana will soon be going on the floors. The shooting of the magnum opus is scheduled for this month and may begin anytime. 

The cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic will be in three parts. The Ramayana trilogy promises a deep exploration of the epic tale through meticulous storytelling.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the viewers will be introduced to Lord Ram and Devi Sita in the first part. The first part of the planned trilogy will focus on Lord Ram's life in Ayodhya, his marriage with Devi Sita, and their 14-year-long exile. The first part will conclude with Sita's abduction.

Meanwhile, the report also suggests that the second part is expected to highlight Lord Ram and Lakshman's interactions with Lord Hanuman and the Vaanar Sena, leading to the construction of Ram Setu. The last installment will depict the epic war between Vaanar Sena and Ravana's army and will conclude with Ravana's defeat and Lord Ram's triumphant return to Ayodhya with Sita.

Undoubtedly, the makers aim to blend cinematic grandeur, entertainment, and sensitivity, ensuring an engaging experience.

Though the star-studded cast lineup has elevated the excitement among all, there are no reports about actors portraying the role of other prominent characters in the Ramayana.
