Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Big beef guy Ranbir playing Lord Ram sparks row, controversy over Sai Pallavi's statement

Ramayana is very dear to the heart of the Indians. While a few archaeologists and modernists believe that it is just a mythology, for millions of Hindus, Lord Ram is a God who existed on this planet almost 7000 years ago and is revered and worshipped as a deity in hundreds of temples across the country and even abroad. So when a movie is being made on such an epic story, it is expected that those playing at least the lead characters of Ram and Sita also have a decent character and opinion in their lives.

But many believe that Nitesh Tiwari who is directing Ramayana has made a mistake by hiring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi to play the lead as their opinions are so different and even against the beliefs and discipline followed by Ram and Sita.

Ranbir Kapoor is a self-proclaimed beef fan

Ram was known for his kindness, and compassion and considered cows very sacred. Although he was a warrior prince he never killed anyone just to fulfill his wish or consume meat. However, Ranbir Kapoor who is portraying Ram is a beef guy. During one of his interviews, the Brahmastra actor revealed that since his family is from Peshawar there is a huge influence of Peshawari food in their lives.

He likes to eat beef, chicken, and meat even during breakfast and repeatedly says that he is a big beef fan. Now fans are wondering how a person who is so much into eating beef can play the role of Lord Ram convincingly.

Sai Pallavi’s controversial comment on The Kashmir Files

Sai Pallavi who will be playing Sita in Ramayana earlier made some controversial comments on The Kashmir Files. The Southern actress had said that in The Kashmir Files, it is shown that the Kashmir pandits were killed. But if it is taken from a religious perspective then there has been an incident where a Muslim man was beaten for transporting cows for butchering by those chanting Jai Sri Ram.

Shockingly, Sai Pallavi opined that there is no difference between the killing of the Kashmiri pandits and that of this man transporting cows.

Fans believe that with actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s lifestyle and opinions playing Ram and Sita, the movie is already doomed and that KGF fame Yash who is playing Ravan in Ramayana should opt out of this flick.
