  • Ramayana Part 1 will have major focus on Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita.
  • Yash will have a bigger role as Ravan in Ramayana Part 2.

Ramayana is the biggest dream of filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. As is known Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the character of Lord Rama in this movie. Earlier the makers were in talks with Alia Bhatt to portray the character of Sita. But reportedly due to date issues the Raazi actress decided to opt out of Ramayana. But her loss was a gain for the Southern actress Sai Pallavi as now she will be seen as Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

What has further heightened the anticipation for this movie is the entry of Yash as Ravan. After the rowdy avatar of Yash as Rockybhai from KGF, fans do want to see him doing different but powerful roles. Incidentally, the Dangal director is planning to make Ramayana in two parts, and as expected the first part will have major focus on Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita whereas Yash will have comparatively a smaller role as Ravan.

But his role will be on a much bigger scale in the second part of Ramayana when he abducts Sita and Ram will come to fight him in Lanka. The latest reports say that Ranbir and Sai will start shooting for Ramayana Part 1 in the early part of 2024 whereas Yash is expected to join the team only in July next year.

Reportedly, many people tried to stop Nitesh Tiwari from making a movie on Ramayana as a big-budet flick Adipurush with Prabhas in the lead failed to click with the audience. Released last year, the VFX, dialogues, presentations, and overall direction all failed to appeal to the audience. But Nitesh has maintained that he has an entirely different take when it comes to presenting Ramayana which is much different from what Om Raut showed.

The producers have already hired an Oscar-award-winning VFX team to make the sequences in Ramayana look real and are trying their best to win the hearts of millions of Indians who revere Ram and Sita as God and Goddess.
