The anticipation among movie lovers is skyrocketing with each passing day for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, Sai Pallavi, and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. While reports are abuzz that Nitesh and his team are all set to go on the floors, the Animal actor has already started prepping up for essaying his character as Lord Ram in the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. 

The recent buzz in the industry is that Ranbir will undergo voice and diction training. A report in India Today claims that the filmmaker is ensuring that everyone is doing their homework before they go on the floors. Further, the report states that the Chhichhore director has formed a dedicated team for the diction and dialogue aspects of Ramayana.

Apart from that, the filmmaker is giving high attention to the costumes and the appearance of the pivotal characters in the movie.

The report states that a close source to the development disclosed that the filmmaker has assigned Ranbir to work with a diction expert to ensure that the dialogue delivery of his character aligns with the flick's vision. 

Indeed, it is a lifetime opportunity for Ranbir to be a part of the Indian epic and essay Lord Ram's role. To embody the character of Lord Ram, RK has dedicated hours to reading dialogues and sending the videos to the helmer for feedback. 

The source also revealed that the production scale of the movie is colossal, with special effects and VFX meeting international standards. 

Further, the report claims that Ranbir's voice carries a distinct baritone and a characteristic delivery style. All such efforts are being made so that the audience can easily identify RK's dialogue from his voice even when their eyes are closed. 

Ranbir has proven himself as a versatile actor portraying different challenging roles in various movies of different genres. Nitesh Tiwari intends to ensure that his character portrayal in Ramayana stands apart from his previous roles and Ranbir, reportedly, is enjoying the new challenge which will help him to explore new dimensions in his acting journey.

According to earlier reports, while Ranbir will be seen as Lord Ram in the magnum opus, Sai Pallavi is set to play the character of Devi Sita. On the other hand, reports claim that Sunny Deol will essay the character of Lord Hanuman, and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as Vibhishan in the first part of the planned trilogy. However, recently a report in Firstpost claimed that Janhvi Kapoor will replace Sai Pallavi in the Indian mythological saga. While it is claimed that the makers picked her as she is well-suited for the role, there is no official statement backing the claims.

Why voice and diction training?

The purpose of this training is to create proper articulation, vocal tone, pitch, pace, and resonance, which includes the practical application of breathing, relaxation, and tongue and lip placement. The method of this training focuses on how these elements pertain to voice and diction. The final goal of this course is to instill in the awareness of the patterns and styles of speech that are acceptable.
