The cutest couple in the Southern movie industry-Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara will be tying the knot on 9th June on the occasion of Ganga Dusshera. The famous celebs got engaged in 2021 and have been dating for the last few years. Earlier they wanted to take the vows at the Tirupati Temple but now have decided otherwise.
The wedding will be an intimate affair
Both Vignesh and Nayanthara have always tried to keep their relationship away from the spotlight. Hence their wedding is also going to be a private affair with only close friends, colleagues, and relatives being invited to bless the couple.
While addressing the media along with Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan said that like both of them have received the blessings of all for their professional life, they would like everyone to bless them for their married life as well.
He further added that he is marrying the love of his life Nayanthara and after the marriage in the afternoon, he will share pictures of the ceremony with all the media people and will have lunch with them on the afternoon of the 11th of June.
Marriage to take place in Mahabalipuram
The couple will be getting married at Mahabalipuram’s Sheraton Grand to keep the entire ceremony a low-key affair. Talking about shifting the wedding venue from Tirupati to Mahabalipuram, Vignesh said that due to logistic issues and practical difficulties they dropped the idea of marrying in Tirupati.
Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara opted for two types of invitations for their wedding. The first one is a digitally printed wedding invitation with greens and flowers. The printed invitation is traditional with sketches of the bride and the bridegroom resembling Nayan and Vignesh. The highlight of this printed invite is the background music from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan for which the couple collaborated for the first time.

Guest list include Tamil Nadu CM and Thalaiva Rajinikanth
Reportedly, the Tollywood superstar and the director have personally invited the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Stalin for the wedding. Other guests who have been invited and are expected to be a part of the ceremony include Kamal Haasan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vijay Sethupathi, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Karthi, Ajith, Anirudh Ravichander, and Suriya.
Famous director Gautham Vasudev Menon will be directing the wedding ceremony which will be made into a documentary and has been reportedly sold to an OTT platform for a big price.
