Nayanthara proves her dominance again; Rashmika gets only disappointment

Nayanthara has never been the one to work for ratings and spotlights. Over the years she has worked quietly and still has been able to successfully maintain her stardom.

The Lady Superstar topped the recent Ormax Media rating for the most popular female star in Tamil leaving other popular Tamil stars like Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Trisha behind.

Surprisingly, Rashmika Mandanna who is named the crush of India by Google barely managed to secure a position in the top 10 ratings. Last month’s rating showed Rashoo in the 9th spot while this month she has slipped to the 10th position in the Ormax ranking.

There have been speculations that Rashmika’s popularity has been going down slowly because of the negativity around her. Earlier the Geetha Govindam actress was slammed badly by the Sandalwood industry fans when the actress said that she was yet to watch the Kannada epic hit Kantara led by Rishab Shetty.

Her simple statement was ridiculed and blasted and many Kannada fans simply boycotted her saying that she has forgotten her roots and they will never forgive her for that.

On the work front, Rashmika has Mission Majnu and Animal with Sidharth Malhotra and Ranbir Kapoor respectively ready for release.

Nayanthara on the other hand is enjoying the bliss of motherhood and married life. Recently, her husband Vignesh Shivan shared a picture with their two sons who are still in their infancy during Christmas. The picture showed both Vignesh and Nayanthara holding their sons smilingly and happily looking at each other.

Before Nayanthara, it was Samantha Ruth Prabhu who was at the top of the Ormax ranking for both Tamil and Telugu. While Sam continues to be the most popular actress in Telugu, she has slipped down to the second position in rating for most popular actresses in Tamil movies.
