Amid Samantha losing her father, Naga Chaitanya subtly hints meeting Sobhita much after his divorce

Samantha Ruth Prabhu lost her father today. Coincidentally, the rituals and haldi for Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding also started today. As is known Chay and Sam were married for 4 years and announced divorce in 2021. Since the time Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation, there have been speculations that Chay and Sobhita's affair started when the former was still married to Samantha.

Now that Chay and Sobhita are all set to tie the knot, there seems to be an effort from the Laal Singh Chaddha actor to establish the fact that he never cheated on his first wife and that he met Sobhita much after he was divorced. Recalling his first meeting with the PS1 actress recently during an interview, the Tollywood actor said, “I was in Mumbai for the launch of my OTT show, during that time, she did have a show with the same platform as well. We first interacted at the event hosted by the OTT platform."

He also discussed how their families have bonded well and enjoyed celebrating festivals together. Interestingly, he also called Sobhita, who is known for her boldness as a family girl. Naga Chaitanya had his sole OTT release Dhootha in 2023. So does that mean he met Sobhita just a year ago?

While there is no reason to doubt the facts Chay is stating, what Nagarjuna said some time ago does not seem to match the statement of Naga Chaitanya. During one of his interviews, the Shiva actor had said that he had loved the performance of Sobhita in the 2018 film Goodachari and invited her to his home in Hyderabad.

According to Nagarjuna, “Chaitanya happened to walk in during one of her visits, and that’s when they met for the first time if I remember correctly.” Father and son sharing different versions of when Chay first met Sobhita Dhulipala looks suspicious although it certainly does not mean that Naga Chaitanya cheated on Samantha.

But somehow, Samantha's fans do not look convinced.
