MP Anubhav Mohanty receives decree of divorce after 10 years of 'worthless and false marriage'

Ollywood actor and MP Anubhav Mohanty has finally received the decree of divorce, formally ending his marriage with actress-wife Varsha Priyadarshini. Mohanty received the order on Wednesday, a day before the completion of 10 years of marriage which he described as worthless, meaningless, heartless, painful, and false. 

Taking to his X (Twitter) handle, Anubhav Mohanty wrote, “Thanks all who prayed for me & my family’s peace🙏🏻 Got my decree of divorce today, which is just a day before the completion of 10 worthless/meaningless/heartless/painful & above all, false marital years of my false marriage! I pray for her happiness. No Offence. #HappyRoseDay.”

He also shared his decree of divorce that read, “It is ordered and decreed that the judgement dated 22.09.2023 passed by Judge, Family court, Cuttack in CP No: 246 of 2021 is reversed in appeal. This court hold ground under clause (1-a) under sub section (1) in section 13 of the Act proved by appellant husband.”

“In the premises, the marriage solemnized on 8th February 2014 is dissolved by the decree of divorce hereby granted. The appeal is disposed of,” it concluded.

No comments could be obtained from Varsha Priyadarshini in this regard.

Notably, putting an end to the long bitter legal battle, the Orissa High Court granted divorce to Anubhav from Varsha on December 21. The HC overturned the ruling of the Cuttack family court that had earlier rejected the divorce petition of the couple.
