Matthew Perry's Friends' team issues joint statement; know more about his last and rare moments

The shocking death of Friends’ fame Matthew Perry continues to leave many astounded. As expected now the cast members of Friends have issued a joint statement to The Guardian expressing sadness and grief over his untimely death. The statement reads, “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” - Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.

The statement further says, “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able.” Perry was loved by his fans for the portrayal of Chandler Bing in Friends sitcom which was a big hit on American television.

Final moments of Matthew Perry

Matt Manasse was a very close friend as well as the pickleball coach of Matthew Perry and was also one of the few people who last saw him before the actor’s sudden death. Sharing his insights into the final moments of Perry Manasse said that the actor was genuine and caring and became obsessed with pickleball very quickly.

Manasse stated to People that Perry found it helpful during his sobriety as the latter was recovering from drug addiction. Both Manasse and Perry used to play pickleball regularly almost four to five times a week. According to Manasee pickleball was an outlet for him and he thought that it would help him with recovery and it was a healthy addiction.

Perry often encouraged people to take up this game and was in good spirits weeks before his death. Manasse said that he enjoyed and laughed a lot during these days and made everyone around him happy.

Shifted to new house weeks before his death

Matthew Perry was found dead in his Jacuzzi on October 28 and although the final reports regarding the cause of his death are yet to come, preliminary evidence suggests that he died of cardiac arrest. The actor had shifted to his new house just three weeks before his death and was in a happy state of mind.

Reportedly he had also signed a new Hollywood project and was going through other scripts as well.
