Marriage, divorce and 2nd wedding! Here's how Naga Chaitanya follows father

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala surprised everyone by getting engaged today. News portals earlier were abuzz with reports that Nagarjuna will be introducing the couple in his way soon and indeed that happened. Surprisingly, when it comes to marriage, divorce, and remarriage, it seems that Chay is following the tradition set by his father. As is known, the Shiva actor was earlier married to Lakshmi Daggubati, the daughter of famous South India filmmaker D Ramanaidu.

She is the sister of famous actor Venkatesh and producer Suresh Babu. The two married in 1984 and announced divorce in 1990. Nagarjuna and Lakshmi share a son and he is Naga Chaitanya . After his divorce, Nagarjuna then dated and married actress Amala in 1992. The two have a son Akhil Akkineni who is also an actor.

Similarly, Nagarjuna was first married to Tollywood actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu for around three years. They seemed happy and very much eager to start a family. It was even reported by a few media portals that Sam was planning to conceive when she was shooting for Shaakuntalam. However, after three years of marriage, Chay and Sam announced divorce in October 2021.

A year later rumours about Naga Chaitanya secretly dating Sobhita Dhulipala started floating around. The couple was spotted abroad accidentally in a photograph which further boosted these rumours. Neither Sobhita nor Chay confirmed dating each other officially and also avoided being spotted publicly.

However, now they have surprised their fans suddenly by getting engaged. Finally, the buzz will rest as the rumours have now become reality. While Nagarjuna has been linked with other actresses like Tabu during his marriage with Amala, they are still together indicating that all is well between the couple.
