Mahesh Babu's refusal to THIS role made Allu Arjun a bigger star!
Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are two of the big names in Telugu Film Industry. Both the actors are known for their versatility and range. The duo enjoy a massive fanbase and are widely regarded as two of the most talented and popular actors in the industry. Like any other film industry, Tollywood has its share of rivalries and competition among its actors, directors and producers. While some rivalries are intense, others are friendly competitions. However, did you know, Mahesh Babu's refusal to a movie made Allu Arjun a bigger star?
Tollywood's Icon Star Allu Arjun scripted history with the success of the Pushpa franchise. With Pushpa: The Rise, Bunny became a pan-India star and Pushpa 2: The Rule became a path-breaking phenomenon breaking several records and setting new milestones. Now, all eyes are on the related updates on Pushpa 3: The Rampage. However, Allu Arjun was not Sukumar's first choice for the iconic character Pushparaj.
Before locking Allu Arjun, the makers considered Tollywood prince Mahesh Babu for playing the role of Pushparaj, who later emerged as an iconic character.
Earlier, during an interview, Sukumar revealed that his initial plot for Pushpa: The Rise was centred around the infamous Andhra Pradesh Red Sanders smuggling case. He also revealed that Mahesh Babu was considered the perfect fit for playing the lead role.
However, the project didn't progress as the Spyder actor didn't give a nod.
After Mahesh Babu's denial, Sukumar completely revamped the storyline and approached Allu Arjun with the revised script. And, the rest is history.
After the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise, Sukumar and Allu Arjun came up with Pushpa 2: The Rule and shattered several records. Now, Pushpa 3: The Rampage is already confirmed officially and Vijay Deverakonda and Nani are rumoured to be joining the third instalment of the Pushpa franchise. Well, fans have to wait for an official update on Pushpa 3.
