Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has been missing from the big screen following the debacle of 2022's Laal Singh Chaddha. Fans have been eagerly waiting for his comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par. Amid this, the PK actor recently opened up about his dream project Mahabharat, hinting that he may finally work towards it. However, Aamir also disclosed about his role in it.

Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has been missing from the big screen following the debacle of 2022's Laal Singh Chaddha. Fans have been waiting eagerly for his comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par, scheduled for release on December 25, 2025. Amid this, the PK actor recently expressed his desire to create more children's content and emphasised the need for original stories. Furthermore, he also opened up about his dream project Mahabharat, hinting that he may finally work towards it. However, Aamir also disclosed about his role in it.

Aamir Khan May Not Be a Part of Mahabharat?

Recently, at the ABP Network's Ideas of India 2025 event, Aamir Khan spoke about his long-cherished dream of making a cinematic adaptation of the Indian Epic Mahabharat.

Aamir said, "It is my dream to make Mahabharat, so, maybe now I will finally be able to work towards that vision. Let's see if there will be a role for me in it."

Further, he stated that creating content for children is what excites him.

"I believe that in India, we produce very little children's content. Most of the time, we import shows from abroad, dub them and release them here. I want to tell stories that centre around children," he added.

Aamir Khan on Giving Opportunities to New Talents

Furthermore, Aamir stressed the importance of giving opportunities to new talents. He emphasised his commitment to nurturing fresh talent in the film industry.

He said, "As an actor, I take on one film at a time and I am content with that. However, I am looking to expand my work as a producer. Next month, I will turn 60 and for the next 10 to 15 years, I want to focus on producing more films and giving opportunities to new talents."
