He credits his early morning golf sessions for keeping his skin firm and wrinkle-free. “Yes, I get tanned. But the sun suits me. It helps with skin tightening,” he added.

Madhavan’s dietary habits are as wholesome as his skincare. Growing up in a home without a refrigerator meant food was always freshly prepared—a habit that stayed with him. Even on film sets, he prefers simple, home-cooked meals like dal, sabzi, and rice, prepared by his personal chef. “I listen to my body and eat only when I’m hungry not by the clock. I avoid fried food and alcohol as much as possible,” he explained.

The actor swears by an age-old haircare tradition too. “Since childhood, I’ve taken an oil bath every Sunday with nalla ennai [sesame oil], applying it all over the body, especially the head,” he said. On other days, it’s coconut oil, massaged in a specific ayurvedic manner, his secret for healthy hair over the decades.
