Loveyapa: Junaid Khan, Khushi Kapoor deliver first bad song of 2025

Oops! Can’t these repo-kids do even one thing good? That is the question web users are asking each other after the first song from Loveyapa starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the lead was dropped on the internet recently. The first reaction of the netizens was that the song “Loveyapa Ho Gaya’ was cringe and so embarrassing.

While there never were much expectations from Khushi Kapoor who failed to impress with her OTT release The Archies, fans were eager to see more of Junaid Khan in a meaningful cinema after his decent performance in Maharaj. But it seems he also had to bow down to the weird norms of the commercial cinema which believes in presenting love in an exaggerated and overly colourful way.

Importantly, this particular song is for teenagers, and young lovers whereas Junaid Khan looks like a grown-up man. It could have suited Aamir Khan when he debuted with “Papa kehte hain” song on the big screen. But Junaid nowhere looks like a young teenager or lover and rather looks much older than Khushi Kapoor.

That is why a few users have called this a bad pairing and a miscast and even said that Junaid Khan won’t look good in such roles in the future as well. However, as expected Boney Kapoor has showered love on this song saying, “Both looking very good. Super excited to see this youthful Loveyapa.” Janhvi Kapoor and rumoured boyfriend of Khushi Kapoor- Vedang Raina also praised the song with fire and heart emoticons.

The song does not include a proper dance and most of the shooting has been filmed with the actors doing steps in a sitting position. It has made a few users say that since both cannot dance well, the song has been shot in this way and that it is the first bad song of this year.
