Love and War: Ranbir Kapoor's character to have an 'Animal' element with psychic undertones?

Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War was announced there have been reports saying that it will be a love story with war as the backdrop and a homage to Raj Kapoor-directed Sangam. While the movie will show a love triangle between Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor, it will not be a triangle between three good people.

The latest buzz says that Ranbir Kapoor ’s character in Love and War will have some grey shades. Rather reports indicate that it was the performance of the Sanju actor in his last release Animal that made SLB think of coming up with a story for his movie.

When the Black director saw Ranbir’s negative role he was pretty much impressed and decided to cast his prodigy in a romantic love story that will have him essaying a grey character with psychic undertones.

Massive lineup of big movies for Ranbir Kapoor

Undoubtedly Love and War is going to be a big movie not only because it is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali but also because Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky Kaushal are going to share the screen. Apart from this SLB flick, the Brahmastra actor has some major movie lineups being produced under big banners.

He has Animal Park, the sequel to his recent blockbuster Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Ranbir is going to play a menacing villain in this sequel and the fans are already excited about the film. Interestingly, while portraying all these negative characters, the Bollywood superstar will also be playing the epic character of Lord Ram who is known for his virtues and piousness. It would be interesting to watch him essaying such a positive and revered character almost simultaneously while playing a villain or a psychopath in his other movies.

Also, Brahmastra 2 is in the pipeline although not much is known about its release date.
