A new controversy has erupted over the recently released Lal Singh Chaddha as ex-cricketer Monty Panesar called the movie disgrace to Indian Armed Forces and the Sikhs.

The former English cricketer took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the portrayal of the Indian Army and the Sikhs and even jumped into the movement to boycott the Aamir Khan-starrer.

"Forrest Gump fits in the US Army because the US was recruiting low IQ men to meet requirements for the Vietnam War. This movie is total disgrace to India Armed Forces Indian Army and Sikhs !!Disrespectful. Disgraceful. #BoycottLalSinghChadda," he tweeted.

In another tweet, Panesar also shared the number of honours won by Sikhs while being serving the Indian Army.

Laal Singh Chaddha is currently struggling at the box office. The boycott calls followed by the poor review are hurting the collections of the movie in the country.
