'Kya bura hai?' Aashiqui fame Anu Aggarwal opines on casting couch
Casting couch in the Indian film industry has been a contentious issue. While some individuals have shared their experiences, others either chose to remain silent or deny its existence. Well, a couple of days ago, Aashiqui fame Anu Aggarwal made some eye-opening disclosures. According to Anu, casting couch exists everywhere and quipped 'Kya bura hai?'
Actress Anu Aggarwal, who debuted with Aashiqui and rose to fame overnight, recently shared some great insights about the Hindi film industry and claimed that the casting couch exists everywhere.
During the exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the veteran actress mentioned that while working in the Hindi film industry, she had close relationships with all of her directors, including Mahesh Bhatt. However, Anu said that there was no 'hanky-panky' and she wasn't subjected to the casting couch.
Further, the Ghazab Tamasha actress questioned, "Kahan nahi hai casting couch?" She went on to add that it exists in banks, corporate houses, and other such places.
Moreover, she opined, "Kya baat kar rahe ho aap? Why are we pretending? Everywhere there is casting couch."
She went on to explain, "Since life has started, there's man and woman, and there are two energies, male and female, their union is something that everybody wants. That's what's the entire history of earth."
The King Uncle actress further quipped, "So what is 'Yeh bura hai'? Kya bura hai?"
She added, "So, at the end of the day, if you didn't make it, kya bura hai- when you don't use your potential, that is bura. What's the big deal being made about casting couch?"
